BREATHTAKING ivory lace dress with rhinestone encrusted bodice by the 1950s label "Cotillion" which specialised in formal wear for proms and parties for young women. Every Cotillion piece I have seen is constructed beautifully and this one is no exception at all. She is a stunning white-ivory colour with a fitted bodice, wide bateau neckline and spaghetti straps. Her bodice has a strapless lining layer which has boning front and back, and the overlay is lace which has sparkling rhinestones scattered all over her.

The skirt is extraordinarily full and generous, shown in these photos with two crinolines underneath. She has a lining layer, a tulle layer and then the lace layer on top. There is a horsehair hem which maintains the beautiful fall of the skirt. She fastens with a side metal zipper.

Flaws/Faults/Repairs

This beautiful dress has been dry cleaned however there are some spots on her, which I will arrange to remove by hand before sending to the owner. They are located on the left rear shoulder strap - this looks like a brownish water spot, there is a very small 1/8 of an inch diameter brown spot on the rear of the skirt and a very small less than 1/2 inch diameter brownish spot on one section of the lace to the front of the skirt.
Her lace has been fully repaired, however it is a little uneven where the spaghetti strap joins the lace bodice on the rear left side of the dress. This is extremely minor however.
