LILLI ANN NAVY BLUE BEAUTY - This divine navy blue coloured fleck skirt suit by Lilli Ann is a beautiful example of late 1940s-early 1950s styling by this label. Her fabric is a silk-wool-worsted blend and she features a soft elegant rounded collar to the neck, strong shoulders and a very slight puff sleeve. Her sleeve length is just below bracelet and she has an upturned cuff with off white piping.
To the centre of the jacket she fastens with four off white coloured buttons, at first I thought these were not original, but upon investigation I believe these are original to the suit. On each hip she has a false pocket placard which also features matching off white piping. Her jacket is fully lined in a matching navy blue silk.
Her skirt is slimline and elegant and fastens with a button, hook and eye and metal zipper. The skirt is partially lined in a navy blue silk.
She has one very small repair under her left underarm, this is not visible when being worn. Under the very bright studio lights I could observe some light brownish discolouration near her right bust area, but I could not see this in normal lighting. This suit has been dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
