BOMBSHELL Silver and gold front leaf metallic embroidery evening gown by Ceil Chapman. This gorgeous dress is from the late 1950s and really is the epitome of glamour! She features a v neckline with a knot style in the underbust area which draws the eye to the slim waist and feminine silhouette.
To the back she has a v neckline and centre back metal zipper. She is a neutral cream colour in real life and the metallic thread is a sparkly gold and silver. She is truly breathtaking.

Flaws/Faults/Repairs
There are some metallic threads that are loose, mostly on the shoulder area however this does not impact her wear. There is some minor thinning of the embroidery in some areas but this does not affect her sparkle or glamour. When this beautiful dress was found she had a broken zipper so this has been replaced with an era appropriate metal zipper - you would not know the zipper was not original to the dress.
There has been some repairs to her lining, particularly in the bodice area, this is not visible at all from the outside. There is one area with a small less than 1/8 inch size hole in the lining (see photo). There is some rust spots around one of her hook and eyes but this can not be seen when fastened.
