ASYMMETRIC BLACK WOOL AND VELVET Princess coat by Lilli Ann. Absolutely stunning, this beauty is a treasure!
With a luscious deep black cotton velvet asymmetric collar she also features exaggerated oversized cuffs, these cuffs can be worn turned up or down, if worn down they would be quite long on the arm and cover the hands.
She fastens with four buttons to the left side which appear original to the coat. The bodice has some stunning seam work which gives her a fitted appearance.
Her skirt is voluminous and generous and is shown in these images with two crinolines underneath to demonstrate her fullness.
She is a deep dark black in real life, the studio lighting is showing her as more grey but she is definitely black.

This would be a good fit on a person of around a 36-38 bust and a 26-28 waist.
Flaws/Faults/Repairs
The flaws on this coat all relate to the lining, there are no external flaws observed. The lining has thinned in several places (see photos) and has evidence of seam stress particularly on the princess seaming and horizontal waist seam. On one side the lining appears torn and the fabric degraded in one area. There is a small approx 1/2 inch size hole in the lining to the skirt area and there is seam stress and seam opening on the underarm area which is more prevalent on one underarm.
It appears the Lilli Ann label has been resewn on, though the original stitching is still in place.
