JOHN MOORE for TALMACK beautiful deep pink roses silk chiffon full skirt dress, absolutely exquisite! John Moore was known to create stunning pieces for Marilyn Monroe and worked for Talmack during the 1950s. All of his pieces are designed with thought and care and are constructed to an impeccable standard.

This beauty is absolutely no exception. She has a gentle wide bateau neckline to the front with three quarter elbow length sleeves. The bodice is fitted, the waist tapered and the skirt with the most incredible triple inverted pleating meaning her skirt is extraordinarily generous and voluminous.

She fastens to the back with a zipper and hook and eye on the bodice underlay and she has 3 snaps on the overlay, the back feature is so incredibly elegant and absolutely reminiscent of Parisian styles at the time.  

She has bra keeper snaps on the underside of the shoulders both sides. She comes with her matching waist tie and thin spaghetti waist tie. Shown in these images tied together around her waist.

Flaws/Faults/Repairs
She has very minor underarm repairs both sides. Minor yellowing in silk at underarm on right side, no apparent yellowing on other side, this would likely not be seen when worn. There is some evidence of colour bleed onto the bodice underlay lining however this is not visible from the outside. There are several brownish-yellow spots on the skirt (see photos), this predominantly gets lost in the print however the most noticeable is at the front near the hem. This dress is quite long, and if you want to shorten the dress, it is possible that you will hide the stain in the hem allowance.
