3D ROSES feature on the bodice of this stunning deep black silk taffeta Suzy Perette dress from the 1950s. The Suzy Perette name licensed designs from Dior and this particular dress has a definite Dior flavour, the bodice style and skirt being a clear homage to these designs.

This beauty has a 3/4 sleeve length, a gentle sweetheart style crossover neckline and has two 3d roses on each side of the neckline. The bodice is fitted and very tapered to the waist, and the skirt has generous pleats giving the wasp waist effect. 

Shown in these images with two crinolines, the photos make the dress appear a dark grey, but in reality it is a deep rich black colour with a soft sheen.

This beauty comes from my personal collection of Suzy Perette, she has been in storage for approximately 2 years. She was previously dry cleaned before being stored but would benefit from an airing upon arrival to her new home. I only observed when photographing that it appears she had previously made smaller and the seams have been released leaving faint lines from where it had previously been sewn. These are not very noticeable however.

Due to the fragility of this beautiful piece and the 3D roses, she will be posted in a box.
