DEEP BLACK SUZY PERETTE bubble skirt party dress. This is an amazing example of this label, dating from the late 1950s to early 1960s.
In a deep black colour, she is made from a heavy weight silk-satin type fabric and has a soft lustre to her. Her neckline is wide and scooped and she is sleeveless with a form fitting bodice. Her skirt is formed with inverted box pleating and the skirt joins to a gathered fitted panel at the bottom of the skirt, giving a gathered bubble effect. This fitted panel also has two bows, one to each side. She is fully lined in a matching black lining. She fastens to the back with a centre back metal zipper and hook and eye. This particular style was very in vogue at the time.
