SPOT THE CIRCLES on this circle skirt from the 1950s. With a white background this full circle skirt features blue circles (polka dots) that start as a smaller size around the waist area, and progressively get larger towards the bottom of the skirt. These circles also have an abstract black effect that also gets denser closer to the bottom of the skirt. She has several areas of brownish colour 'splash marks' that kind of look like weak coffee. They do not look like stains, so I believe these will come out with treatment. She has one area where there is a pale brownish smear (hard to explain) but this is difficult to see due to the print. There is one section of the skirt where the black has faded more than the surrounding area but this is not obvious. Overall her colours are still bright, however the black looks like a very dark purple in bright lights, but appears black in normal light. She appears to be home sewn and looks to be well done, this may have been a skirt "kit". She fastens with a metal zipper and button.
