HENRI BENDEL was known to produce custom high end clothing from New York during the 1930s and 1940s and created a ready to wear line during the 1950s. Henri Bendel was one of the first to buy CHANEL garments and bring them to the USA.

This beautiful dress is made of a red as red cotton pique fabric with a fresh white daisy type print all over her. She has a scooped neckline which is trimmed in a contrasting white piping with red daisy print trim, this also features on the underbust giving her a shelf bust style. Her sleeves are short and her dress is a panel style, giving it an extremely full silhouette. She also features two hidden pockets. Shown in these images with two crinolines underneath.

To the back her underbust trim continues and her neckline trim forms two long tails which can be tied in a bow as shown. She fastens with a metal zipper and hook and eye. She was previously taken up so she has a fold line to her hem but no fade at all.
