All items are sold "as is" with faults or flaws as described. All of the items on this website are vintage and are often more than 70 years old.
Returns, exchanges and/or credits are not accepted due to incorrect fit, change of mind or delivery or postal delays that are outside of our control. Unless there is a significant difference in measurements or major flaws, faults or stains.
Significant means noticeable to the naked eye on casual inspection such as stains larger than 3cm diameter, holes larger than 2mm diameter, seam pops greater than 5cm in length, and measurements that have a greater than 2 inch variance on any one measurement.
Blue Wren Vintage reserves the right to refuse any refund or exchange request, and a restocking fee of 25% may be charged. Shipping/postage/packaging charges are non-refundable.

Photographs provided are not enhanced, edited or photoshopped unless indicated to show detail. Colours may vary on monitors and devices to the actual item, however we endeavour to describe colours as accurately as possible.
Item Description
Please read the item description carefully, we endeavour to describe each item as accurately as possible including measurements and inclusion of any flaws, faults or issues with the garment. All garments are inspected with the naked eye in natural light and described as accurately as possible. It is possible that very minor flaws may not be identified, and this is to be expected in a vintage garment.
Fabric Composition
The vast majority of vintage clothing does not include fabric or care labels, so we use our best approximation of the fabric type to describe the item, we do not perform burn tests or use chemical assessments to determine fabric content.
Cleanliness
All items have been aired as a minimum prior to sale, with the vast majority of items having been laundered, dry cleaned and/or steamed/pressed. All odours (if any) are described in the listing. If an item is posted internationally it may have a musty odour upon arrival due to being packed up for several days for travel. Please be forgiving of this and air out garments upon arrival and prior to wear.
Special note on Velvet
Velvet items have a ‘nap’ that gives velvet it’s beautiful lustre. However when the nap is pressed it can flatten and crush. Depending on the amount of crush, this may resolve with steaming on the wrong side of the velvet. If a velvet item is purchased that may have risk of crush in travel, it is up to the buyer to advise whether they prefer for the item to be posted in a box for additional postage charge to minimise crush risk.
Alterations
It is unlikely that a vintage garment will fit perfectly right away, in the mid century it was very common for minor alterations to take place in order to obtain a perfect fit. Blue Wren Vintage will not provide payment or compensation for any garments that do not fit upon arrival and require alterations..
Clearance, Sale and Wounded Wrens
All items sold as clearance, sale or wounded wrens are non-refundable and are final sale.
Layaway/Layby
Payment plans through a layaway or layby are available for all items priced at US$200 or more.. Terms are a minimum 30% deposit of the total (item+shipping) and up to one month to pay the remaining balance in full. Payments may be made in any frequency and any value as long as the final outstanding payment is received no later than one month after the deposit.
Layaway/layby terms are strict and any deposit or payments made are non-refundable. Failure to adhere to the layaway/layby terms may result in forfeiture of deposit and all payments made.
No refunds, returns or credits will be accepted on layaway/layby items.
Gift Cards Policy
Gift cards can be redeemed only via purchase through www.bluewrenvintage.com
Gift cards are not valid for purchases on any other platform, including but not limited to Etsy, eBay, Facebook or Instagram.
Gift cards are not redeemable in full or part for cash.
Gift Cards are valid for use for 3 years from the date of purchase, unless expressly stated otherwise or a longer period is required by law.
If purchase exceeds the gift card amount, the balance must be paid by other available payment options and must be redeemed within the validity period.
Expired gift cards are not redeemable and gift card amounts will not be refunded or credited when expired.
Gift cards are treated like cash. lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced, refunded or redeemed.
