LILLI ANN MOHAIR WOOL AND SILK VELVET PRINCESS COAT
This is beautiful example of immaculate Lilli Ann styling from the 1950s. This is a very dark grey black mohair princess coat with silk velvet squares interspersed into the skirt. Her bodice is fitted and she has an exaggerated collar and leg of mutton sleeve. Her skirt is very full and generous, shown with two crinolines in these photographs. Her skirt is long and this coat can easily be worn over full 1950s dresses and skirts.

Flaws/Faults/Repairs
This coat presents beautifully however some areas of her velvet are showing signs of fabric crush, this occurs when the coat is worn and the owner sits down whilst wearing the coat, so the velvet nap becomes crushed. This may be resolved with persistent steaming.. She does not have her original buttons, these have been replaced with vintage style buttons. There is a spare button sewn into her hem for the future owner. She has been freshly dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
She has what appears to be a dry cleaning tag from the 1950s still attached, and she also has a red tag labelled G attached to her suit and coat industry tag. Despite my research I can't determine exactly what this red tag is for, though I believe it may be some kind of quality control tag, that is usually removed before sale.
